Get out of your own way…
”Act as if failure is impossible, and your success will be assured. Wipe out every thought of your not achieving your objectives, be brave and set no limits on the workings of your imagination. Never be a prisoner of your past. Become the architect of your future…and you will see that nothing can stop you.”-Anonymous
Good morning! How would your life change if you realized that ninety percent of the obstacles you face in reaching your dreams are created by your mind? I don’t know what the actual percentage is, but I truly believe that the obstacles thrown in our way from life are incredibly outnumbered by the obstacles thrown in our way by ourselves.
If I compare goals I have pursued where I entered them with self-doubt, to goals that I pursued with complete conviction-the results are always the same. I succeeded when the conviction was there, and I faltered when it wasn’t. How can we expect the world to line up and be on our team, if we aren’t even on our own team?
Before we chase a dream, we need to encourage, believe and trust in ourselves. We need to come face-to-face with our doubts and fears, and then overcome them, step-by-step-that is what challenging life is all about.
Your Turn: Where in your life have you been sabotaging yourself? What steps do you need to take to get out of your own way? Who can support you?
Today’s Affirmation: I confidently pursue my dreams.

Oh, I so needed this one today. I’m in the beginning stages of a new creative project. Yesterday, I allowed my negative voices to control my day and the end result was that I didn’t move one step forward. This one is going on a soul food card right now.

I love that article- “you’re the architect of your future, don’t be a prisoner of the past” I recently lost my husband of 8 wonderful yrs. from a tragic accident. We have 4 little girls. We miss him very much. Reading Brooke Noel article kept me going in my life. I hold on to all the good memories and I feel that it helps me perceive life in a more positive way. I live for my children now so I am striving more to improve and be successful in whatever dream I have now. Thanks for all your positive articles. I love it so much.
