Understanding and Living with ADD: The Basics

Mini #149

This Mini is the first in a series focusing on ADD in women. I will share how I discovered I had ADD and how I learned to work with it, making ADD a strength instead of a weakness. This Mini shares the criteria used for diagnosing ADD as well as what a diagnosis means. We will review how the ADD brain functions differently than the non-ADD brain and look at the areas of our life that are most affected as well as practical strategies for working with, instead of against, ADD. Future Minis in this series will focus on ADD and Time Management, ADD and Organization, and Explaining ADD to Others. Opens June 9

Transferring Your CAN (and CAN Processing Review)

Many members have been patiently waiting–and now here it is– our Transferring Your CAN Mini. In this Mini I will share step-by-step how I transfer my completed CAN to a new Catch-All Notebook. We will also use this process to help us discover if we need any other sections in our MTM Headquarters to customize our system. Finally, we will brush-up on weekly CAN processing so that you have a CAN Plan customized to your personality. Opens June 1.

The Power of “I CAN”

Mini #147

Have you ever wondered how some people seem to keep going, rising to life’s
challenges while others seem to shrink under life’s stress and pressure? Are
those who continue to “challenge life” even in the face of extreme adversity gifted
with some special gene?

It was this very question that prompted me to write Grief Steps: 10 Steps to Rebuild,
Regroup and Renew.
While working in the grief and bereavement field I found that after
the initial year of grieving, some people went on to live rich, although different lives,
while others seemed to hide behind emotional walls and withdraw. One of the key differentiators was an “I CAN” attitude In this Mini you will discover what an I CAN attitude is and how to begin cultivating and growing such an attitude to enhance your day to day life.
